A Texas Vodka Brand Is Calling Dripping Springs Home — Meet Goodnight Loving
Jordan Blackburn · April 15, 2026

After more than a decade on Hwy. 290, Deep Eddy Vodka's Dripping Springs tasting room will close in June. But the space is not going empty for long.
Goodnight Loving Vodka — a Texas-born, family-run vodka brand — will move into the facility at 2250 E. Hwy. 290 this fall, turning Deep Eddy's former home into its new headquarters, production facility, and tasting room.
Who Is Goodnight Loving?
Goodnight Loving Vodka is a Texas vodka company founded in 2020 by a father-and-son team. The brand is named after the historic Goodnight-Loving Trail, one of the great 19th-century cattle drives that passed through Central Texas — a fitting nod for a Texas spirits brand landing in the Hill Country.
The company has been growing steadily, and the Dripping Springs facility will mark the first time Goodnight Loving has consolidated its full spring-to-bottle production in one place. Their stated goal: reach more than one million cases per year from this facility.
That would put them among the more ambitious Texas spirit brands in recent memory.
What to Expect at 2250 Hwy. 290
The facility will not just be a tasting room. Goodnight Loving plans to use the space as its:
- Headquarters and offices
- Full production line (spring-to-bottle)
- Tasting room open to the public
The transition is set for August 2026, with the tasting room expected to open in fall 2026.
The address — 2250 E. Hwy. 290 — has been one of the most visible stops on Dripping Springs' distillery corridor for years. It is a well-equipped, purpose-built spirits facility, and Goodnight Loving will be inheriting a serious infrastructure investment.
What About Deep Eddy?
Deep Eddy is closing its Dripping Springs tasting room on June 13. The brand is not going away — it is refocusing on Austin, and its Buda distillery (which took over production years ago) continues to operate. The brand has said it will continue attending local events.
For longtime locals, Deep Eddy's tasting room has been a fixture of the 290 corridor. Losing it marks the end of a chapter. But the transition to a Texas-owned brand with serious production ambitions is a meaningful story for what comes next.
Why It Matters
Dripping Springs has quietly built a real identity as a Hill Country spirits destination — with distilleries, wineries, and craft breweries dotting the 290 corridor. Goodnight Loving is not just filling a gap; they are bringing a production-focused operation with genuine scale ambitions to the area.
A vodka distillery with million-case goals, based in the Hill Country, is the kind of anchor that draws visitors and reinforces what makes this stretch of Hwy. 290 distinctive.
When their tasting room opens this fall, it will be one of the first new spirits experiences on the corridor in a while. Worth adding to your list.
